Having just turned 19 on Sunday, Rani is in the senior Stuttgart squad and although the Germany U-19 midfielder has yet to make his Bundesliga debut, he is earmarked as a name to watch for the future.
"Rani has developed really well here. He is a player with good prospects and has a good personality for his age," said VfB's director of sport Fredi Bobic.
"We trust him to take the next step in his development and establish himself in the senior squad."
